Remain still…

ImageIn a 24-hour period of time; how often do you stop?  You know, the time seems to be going rather quickly these days.  Along with the time going by fast, there is a lot of noise.  The alarm clock goes off first thing in the morning and you are going nonstop for the rest of the day.  You kept hitting the snooze button because you wanted an extra five minutes of sleep.  It is constant that there is always something of sound going on.  How do you decompress?  How do you escape the noise?  We must stop and remain still.

It is a wonder at times of just how we are able to get anything accomplished.  There is so much to do that we often neglect those little things in life that would allow us to remain still.  We need to allow our body to have adequate rest and nourishment.  We live in an On-The-Go Era.  Everything is so fast paced.  We must stop and remain still.

When you want to stop and remain still, go away.  Go somewhere and disappear.  I like to go to a place of oasis.  When I reach my destination, I am able to rest with Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

There is something about peace and quiet. The soothing tone that comes from being able to go to a place of serenity is enough to calm all the senses.  suddenly, the loud noise that rang in your ear all day long has decreased.  You are taking yourself to a place where you finally are able to stop and remain still.

We must stop and remain still…
